Over the past 18 months, Remot our pioneering energy management solution has gone through market validation, market adoption and we are now scaling. • Product design and development training; The Innovex certificate. This is designed to nurture a special breed of African technological innovators. The graduates pass out as young technologists capable of contextually analysing Africa’s development challenges and developing appropriate technological hardware and software solutions. • Enabling access to modern equipment and components to build technological solutions through the Innovex store. To cater for the growing need of modern and more advanced electronics equipment and components, we have created partnerships with various manufacturers and distributors world over. Supported by the trainings, our store enables access to these components at the lowest market price. 1.2 billion people worldwide still live without access to the electric grid and by 2030, 700 million people in Africa will still live in off-grid areas. Off-grid solar electricity is an immediate solution though it’s growth is stagnated by the high initial cost and the poor aftersales support. Remot technology makes energy accessible to low-income earners and rural communities by providing Pay-Go and remote monitoring services to solar contractors. Remot is used by solar contractors enabling them to remotely monitor and automatically switch ON/OFF a solar system in addition to remote bill collection supported by mobile money integration on our platform. Remot has become an essential component of the solar energy ecosystem as a Pay-Go enabler for solar companies. Remot consists of a device that is connected to a solar system, this device enables remote control and is embedded with sensors that measure voltage and current values from the solar panels, batteries and consumer load sending them wirelessly over a mobile connection to a server based web system. The web system uses custom algorithms to analyse this data to perform key functions for the company and the consumer and provide key information.
