Goodwell is currently fundraising for uMunthu, a EUR 100m fund for Sub-Saharan Africa, that will invest in financial inclusion, agribusiness and other inclusive growth sectors with a heavy focus on the digital economy. The firm has been listed in IA50 in 2018, 2019 and 2020. It is realising top quartile investment returns and making a significant impact, demonstrating that it is possible to be commercially successful while having a social impact at the same time. Goodwell manages its funds with teams on the ground that have become local leaders in the impact investment sector. We work with local partners in India (Aavishkaar), Nigeria (Alitheia) and Ghana (JCS), and our investment team for East Africa, located in Nairobi, Kenya, and our investment team for Southern Africa, located in Cape Town, South Africa.
